FACT: Highly engaged and resilient teams are better at working together through change, hitting targets, and bringing in more value. We can help you create these teams.

Well-being@work© is a speedy and powerful staff well-being, engagement and change management toolkit, for teams and organisations to measure and receive real time feedback on how their risk areas are linking together.

We work with teams and managers to resolve stress, conflict, uncertainty, satisfaction, disengagement, resilience, management impact, discrimination and loyalty. We measure and communicate results against national benchmark data and promote positive aspects of work.

Well-being@work© is a one-of-a-kind positive psychology model, built on nef’s research for the government Foresight project ‘Mental capital and well-being’ (now adopted by NICE and Business in the Community), and is also aligned to the HSE stress management standards.

Well-being@work© includes the following benefits, in addition to dedicated advisor support:
  • Speed: 24 hour turnaround on team and organisational results (allowing you plenty of messaging and dissemination time – No more weeks of waiting and lost momentum!)
  • Easy access and easy implementation
  • Fully automated measurement and solutions package to pre-empt risks of low performance
  • well-being@work leadership training (optional)
  • private client control panel and automated team dissemination
  • multi-dimensional data and narrative in our analysis to identify multiple causes
  • can help to significantly reduce absenteeism and presentee-ism costs
  • can help raise innovation, resilience & engagement with work
  • can create ambassadors in the community out of your people
  • A sound evidence base in positive psychology
We can flexibly add any bespoke or KPI questions you require and can filter results by chosen demographics.

Low well-being reduces team productivity by 10%-25%, and increases risk of internal conflict. The cost of ill health to the UK economy is around £100 billion a year. This is equivalent to running another NHS.

Additional ‘presentee-ism’ costs (being at work but not really working) are estimated to be twice the number of absence days lost from the bottom line.

FROM JUST £1,499 including face-to-face support, Well-being@work© can enable your team or organisation to best measure and effectively overcome risks to positive performance, resilience and well-being.

Case Study 1: NHS Foundation Trust - South London & Maudsley (SLaM)

NHS Foundation Trust - South London & Maudsleyslampartners
By investing in employee well-being – their experience at work – companies can increase their performance

nef consulting’s powerful high-speed well-being@work© survey and e-toolkit is built on nef’s research in the Government Foresight “Mental Capital & Well-being” report. This research is now incorporated in NICE guidelines, is aligned to the HSE standards, and is approved by the Centre of Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP).

nef consulting worked throughout 2009 with SLaM NHS Trust to deliver well-being@work for the employees of the Trust. The survey provided SlaM with both qualitative and quantitative well-being results (benchmarked against national average scores). Based on the survey results, a range of well-being interventions, appropriate to particular teams, were created and management training provided to help embed well-being in the workplace. ‘slampartners’ were engaged to roll out the interventions.

NHS SLaM is the largest provider of mental health and substance misuse services in the UK, and is linked to a major world leading research institute (Kings College Institute of Psychiatry).

Case Study 2: World Development Movement

By investing in employee well-being – their experience at work – organisations can increase their performance

nef consulting’s powerful high-speed well-being@work© survey and e-toolkit is built on nef’s research in the Government Foresight “Mental Capital & Well-being” report. This research is now incorporated in NICE guidelines, is aligned to the HSE standards, and is approved by the Centre of Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP).

nef consulting worked during the winter of  2009 with the World Development Movement to deliver well-being@work for the whole organisation. The survey provided WDM with both qualitative and quantitative well-being results (benchmarked against national average scores). By their own admission, conducting the survey and reviewing the results proved a watershed moment for the organisation. It helped them better understand each other’s work loads and the support they needed from each other. The workshop provided WDM with the space to identify the changes they wanted to initiate to improve well-being.
